Preview a layered SVG in 3D

See the stack the way it will sit in a frame: each sheet in its own color, the shadows between the layers and the frame around them. Free, with no account.

How it works

  1. Drop in your layered SVG. If the editor asks how to place it, choose Split into new layers so each color becomes a sheet, then Place here.
  2. The 3D view opens. Drag to look in from the sides, or let it spin.
  3. Adjust what you see. Change the light angle and the shadow, the gap between layers and the paper thickness, and the colors of the frame, inner wall and backboard.

Why look before you cut

A layered piece only shows its depth once the sheets are stacked. In the preview you can see whether a sheet is hidden behind the ones in front, whether a color gets lost, and how deep the stack is, before any paper is cut.

To try another color, change the sheet in the editor and open the preview again.

Questions

Which files work?

Layered SVG files where each sheet is its own shape or color, such as shadow box files from other designers, and files downloaded from KerfPress, which open with all their layers.

Is it free?

Yes. The 3D preview is free and needs no account. You only pay if you download a file, from your free allowance, a single download or a subscription. See Pricing.

Is my file uploaded?

No. It opens in the editor in your own browser, and the preview runs there too.
